Haley has been devouring the Harry Potter books. On Sunday, we hit up two Half-Price books looking for HP4 and couldn't find it used in paperback. Then I checked Craigslist and found someone selling all 7 books, new in shrinkwrap for $35. That's $5/book!

I picked it up for her today and think it'll make a fab birthday present for her next month. Keep it secret!

This is Haley one year ago today. To my eyes, she pretty much looks the same. She has changed a lot, though. She's gotten a lot better at keeping her temper/attitude in check lately; our conflicts have been down quite a bit.


She's also taken a shine to the piano. Apparently she's the best in her class and tomorrow is her first recital. I think she'll do great (I won't see it though; gotta work) but she's being a little tenative about it.

Anyway, she's a hoot and I love her dearly.

We went to an old, decrepit mall today. The mall had two tenants and the rest was empty. Sort of creepy and sad all at once.

After a few birthday parties today we ended up staying at home all afternoon due to inclement weather. Plus my allergies are really killing me so me and Rye found some time to geek out.
