It's a squirrel I took a picture of last year. No big deal.

142/365

142/365I downloaded one of those retro camera apps this morning, figured I'd try it out on Riley's eggs. They look cool on the phone's screen, let's see how it looks online.

EDIT: Well, apparently the content looks ok, but the faux-frame looks low rent. Will play with more to see about removing said frame.

141/365

141/365Straight out of the camera, no PP done. Held the camera up, flipped it over, took the shot.

140/365

140/365Macro lens makes my pickup on my bass look gross. Those white dust flakes? More like dead skin! Yuck.

139/365

139/365My little French pastry chef is hand rolling (not really) croissants for our school's MULTI-CULTURAL FAIR tomorrow. Thank goodness for Trader Joe's!

138/365

138/365Today is Marci's birthday. For her birthday, Riley's tooth fell out. Of course, I took a picture of her, but this one turned out better.

Happy birthday!

137/365

137/365We have 3 tulips in our front yard. They are starting to look sort of pathetic. Then I thought of the yellow tulip Windows XP wallpaper and thought, "hmm, let's stick my camera under the tulip and see what happens."

Shot blind, just hoping for something nifty.

136/365

IMG_20110516_205103Shot this from my car heading north on I-5 somewhere by Federal Way, I think. I was coming home from band practice and saw how pretty our sunset was.

Apparently it's supposed to hit 70 degrees on Friday. Bust out the short shorts!

135/365

135/365Last year I played a gig at the Comet. This year I didn't but I didn't take any pictures today save for one on my phone. It was raining yet again today so into the archive I went.

134/365

134/365Whole Foods today. Who writes like this? And do they write like this when they are doing normal stuff? I am intrigued.

133/365

133/365I was taking pictures of our Cub Scout meeting and trying to get Hay and her friends on the down low. Obviously my technique needs work because as soon as they saw me, they were OUTTA THERE. :)

132/365

132/365I visited an old friend in Downtown Bellevue today. While I waited for I took a picture of the building next door. And yes, it was sunny (but cold!) today. (posted a day late due to blogger being down last night)

131/365

131/365Reaching a bit. Don't want to go outside because it's 50 and rainy and I've shot everything inside.

Anyway, this is Harry Potter, Lego style, in front of our entryway light.

130/365

130/365We are having some insulation sprayed in our attic tomorrow. As a result, Marci had to clear out her side of the closet as the trap door is located there.

This is a crop of a long range shot of some of her shoes. In other words, there are more.

Wow!

129/365

129/365My tabs expired in March. Shh, don't tell anyone. I tried to get my car to pass emissions and it failed. Took it to the shop and they said I had to revert my car back to stock before they could properly test/fix the issue.

Well, when I bought the car used, the previous owner had put a big frickin' tube in it to make cool sucky sucky sounds.

In other words, it has a cold air intake in place of what it should have, pictured above.

Today, this airbox came in the mail via another VW owner on the East Coast. His car was an 03 and mine is an 02, so hopefully it'll fit (he said it would, but that don't mean SQUAT!).

Anyway, don't know if this stock box will get my car to pass emissions, but so far, it's cheaper than the alternative.

128/365Happy Mother's Day, babe! We had fun with you today!

127/365

127/365Last night I was inspired to play my bass because of this Youtube video (FOO FIGHTERS!). I just loved the idea of a recording studio setting of a band simply playing through its latest record.

Plus, they just look cool!

So I played along, put the bass down, and that's where it ended up.

126/365

126/365I took this on my way home from Discovery Park last year. I was scouting the park for a friend's sister's engagement picture shoot. As it turns out, weather last year was lousy in May and we never went to the park, but opted for Ballard instead.

I picked this because, well, look at the sky. It's blue! Can you believe it? I shot this through my car window on Mercer on the way back to I-5.

125/365

125/365At the end of March I went in to get a sinus thing checked out. As part of the basic check in check up, they took my blood pressure. Apparently it was a little high. Since then I've been trying to get more walking in at work, as well as taking the dog out.

This is what my life has become.

By the way, the numbers on the screen are not mine.

124/365

124/365We had some sun today and as it softly diffused through our front window shades, I noticed how great it looked in Haley's seat at the dinner table. I snapped a few of her, then had Rye have a seat.

Not only was this the dorkiest of the bunch, but also the sharpest. Plus, in going back through the P365, Hay's been a big star recently and he hasn't, so here you go.

123/365

123/365I screwed my macro lens on after thinking that Marci's hairbrush might make for an interesting close up.

It wasn't, but after tweaking it, I thought it turned out to be interesting.

122/365

122/365Haley and I took Bella for a post-dinner walk. It is May 2nd and the weather was wacko today. Luckily when we went out, it wasn't too bad.

121/365

121/365Riley and I took a bike ride today to a local parking lot where the Cub Scouts were putting on a bike rodeo. Doing stuff like basic bike safety and maintenance, how to properly wear a helmet, etc.

My bike hangs in the garage most times and both tires go flat as I have fancy schmancy presta valves on my tires. They are a pain to pump, so I never do it.

But today, with the weather (NICE) and task at hand (a BIKE RODEO), I had to manage.

Of course, throughout the years, I have lost my helmet, so I had to do the ride of shame, sans head protection.

Anyway, I am a bit paranoid at times riding with Rye as I don't quite trust that he'll do the right thing on the road. Not that he'd ride carelessly, but maybe that he'd swerve unpredictably in front of someone, you know?

Luckily it wasn't too busy on the roads today, and wouldn't you know it? Riley did great. He rode right next to me or right behind me, and it was a great boy's afternoon.
